The Hollow Earth (Part 1) early 1970 the

Environmental Sciences (ESSA) gives the press a few photos routine air reconnaissance over the North Pole in one of the pictures you could see a huge black hole in place where it should be located on Polo (
Photo ). A few months later
Ray Palmer, editor of Flying Saucers
known UFO researcher and U.S., said that the hole photography actually existed and that was the way to enter an inner world. But this was not the first paper he edited in any of their magazines on the subject.

During the 30's had begun to get letters to the editor of the pulp magazine Amazing Stories
, where Palmer worked as a director, written by a man named Richard Sharpe Shaver
. Richard told of a somewhat verbose and chaotic in his letters, that Palmer was trying to polish, which through its welding tool had begun to hear the voices of the Deros, beings who lived inside the earth they were obsessed with sex and torture, these voices had been spending several periods in both locked in asylums as prisons. During one of these stays in prison a woman materialized in his cell to take you to the world that was hidden inside the earth.
As he was told in that world, once the land was inhabited by two races: the Titans and the Atlanteans, who built great civilizations and made great technological advances. Due to a change in solar radiation, were forced to migrate under the earth, and were forced by circumstances to leave the land leaving in the hands of the human race, not slow to discover the technology that they had left hidden. The radiation emitted by the newly discovered machines began to mutate into humans turning them into Deros (
Detremital
Robots), who seized them and began to cause many tragedies in the earth's surface. According to Shaver, the Deros were no more than a sadistic unintelligent robots they had in their hands which used advanced technology to increase the carnal pleasures they derived their constant orgies which were addicts. Deros also said that using such technology to torture human beings, who abducted the surface and Teros (
Robots Integrative ) descendants of the missing Titans, much less in number than their degenerate brothers.

Shaver statements were quick to drag hundreds of followers throughout the country to sold-out runs
Amazing Stories. Despite the increased sales produced by the stories of Shaver, Palmer was forced to abandon the writing because, first, the incredible amount of Conspiranoids who wrote to the magazine saying provide real evidence of the existence of Deros, and secondly, by the strong criticism due mainly to the strong component schizophrenic who had the Shaver stories. Moreover, according to Palmer himself, dark maneuvers were carried out by the Deros to avoid knowing the truth. After his stop publishing stories in Amazing Stories
, Shaver continued editing their stories in their own fanzine:

Amazing Stories, Palmer, boosted by the fame gained through the stories of Shaver, opened in 1957 its own journal
Flying Saucers from Other World
for a couple of years after discovering the book Worlds beyond the Poles: Physics of the Universe Continuity Amadeus written by Francis Giannini, self-styled scientist and philosopher who had been lecturing throughout the United States several years, which argued that "
the northern and southern Earth from the physical point of view do not represent limits. The earth can be circumnavigated in the strict sense. The statement is valid even classified as some flights around the world have helped to spread the mistaken idea that Earth can be circumnavigated north and south .. " Giannini Poles To continue in other lands and the Planet itself be part a parallel universe in turn linked to another, an endless eternal continuity. To do so was based on two trips enigmatic by Admiral Byrd over the Poles.
Richard Byrd
Richard Byrd was born in Winchester Virginia on October 25, 1888, in the heart of a Southern family. He studied at the University of Virginia for later join the Naval Academy of the United States, which returned as a midshipman at age 24. During World War I learned to fly and became a pioneer in global aviation. Palmer for many years continues to cling to his theory of the existence of these polar lands, until he saw all of his theories confirmed by the appearance of photos taken by the ESSA 7 satellite, which could see a big black hole where it should be the North Pole.
